Pharmacist

Position Summary

A Rite Care Pharmacy community pharmacist is responsible for controlling, dispensing and distributing medicine. They adhere to legal and ethical guidelines to ensure the correct and safe supply of medical products to the general public. They are involved in maintaining and improving people’s health by providing advice and information as well as supplying prescription medicines. Pharmacist responsibilities include:

  • Dispensing prescription medicines to the public
  • Ensuring that different treatments are compatible
  • Checking dosage and ensuring that medicines are correctly and safely supplied and labelled (pharmacists are legally responsible for any dispensing errors)
  • Supervising the preparation of any medicines
  • Keeping a register of controlled drugs for legal and stock control purposes
  • Liaising with doctors about prescriptions
  • Counseling and advising the public on the treatment of minor ailments
  • Advising patients of any adverse side-effects of medicines or potential interactions with other medicines/treatments
  • Arranging the delivery of prescription medicines to patients
  • Managing, supervising and training pharmacy support staff
  • Budgeting and financial management
  • Keeping up to date with current pharmacy practice, new drugs and their uses

Required Qualifications

  • License and certification must be maintained in good standing as required by Texas state law.
  • Personal transportation is mandatory as employees may be required to work or travel to different Rite Care Pharmacy location(s) within a 50 mile radius from the corporate office. Rite Care will not reimburse for gas; employees will be responsible for their own fuel and car maintenance. 
  • Punctual and dependent for assigned/confirmed shifts
  • Uphold HIPAA regulations
  • Follow facility and OSHA safety rules and procedures while on assignment
  • Willing to complete required orientation as directed by facility
  • Flexibility in work schedule is required
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift at least 20 pounds

Required Experience

  • Previous pharmacy experience preferred

Required Education:

  • License and certification must be maintained in good standing as required by Texas state law.

PHARMACY TECHNICIAN

Position Summary:

Rite Care Pharmacy is hiring Pharmacy Technicians to help with data entry, processing insurance, and answering calls from patients and providers. Be part of a growing team of hard working people to ensure all of our patients’ and providers’ needs are met.

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills, including a strong command of the English language and the ability to clearly articulate program details to customers over the telephone
  • Data entry skills, proficient to advanced PC skills including both MS DOS and Windows-based applications
  • Flexibility in work schedule is required
  • Ability to complete all required training programs
  • Bi-lingual is a plus

Required Experience

  • Previous pharmacy experience preferred

Required Education:

    • State Pharmacy Technician License
    • PTCB Certification

Customer Care Representative

Position Summary:

Work as part of the Customer Care Team to ensure that each customer has a positive service experience with Rite Care Pharmacy. Deliver prepared scripting describing Rite Care’s services. Ensure the delivery of outstanding customer service in alignment with standard operating procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills, including a strong command of the English language and the ability to clearly articulate program details to customers over the telephone
  • Data entry skills, proficient to advanced PC skills including MS Windows-based applications
  • Flexibility in work schedule is required
  • Ability to complete all required training programs
  • Bi-lingual is a plus

Required experience:

  • Previous call center experience preferred

Education:

  • Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required
